Churches plan Holy Week, Easter services
This patch of white bluebonnets can be viewed along Loop 1604 near Calaveras Lake. Though rare, white bluebonnets are spotted occasionally. Pink bluebonnets are rarer still; both pink and white occasionally occur naturally. These are the result of mutations in the genes in Lupinus texensis responsible for producing the Texas state flower’s blue pigment.

A number of special worship services and activities are planned at area churches this year for Easter Sunday, April 20, and the days preceding it.
