America must rebuild using truths from the past

Chinese Proverb:

If there is light in the soul, there will be beauty in the person.

If there is beauty in the person, there will be harmony in the house.

If there is harmony in the house, there will be order in the nation.

If there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world.

The Olympic Creed, “The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well.”

John Wesley, 1703-91 “I’m not afraid that the people called Methodists should ever cease to exist either in Europe or America. But I’m afraid lest they should only exist as a dead sect, having the form of religion without the power. And this undoubtedly will be the case unless they hold fast both the doctrine, spirit, and discipline with which they first set out.”

Evangelist, Charles Finney, 1792-1875 “The time has come that Christians must vote for honest men and take consistent ground in politics, or the Lord will curse them é God cannot sustain this free and blessed country, which we love and pray for, unless the Church will take right ground. Politics are a part of religion in such a country as this, and Christians must do their duty to the country as a part of their duty to God.”

Martin Niemoller, 1892-1984 “First the Nazis came for the communists (1933), and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a communist. Then they came for the socialists, and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a trade unionist. Then they came for me (1937), and there was no one left to speak for me.”

Harry S. Truman, August 8, 1950 “Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear.”Dean Alfange, 1952 - An American’s Creed “I do not choose to be a common man. It is my right to be uncommon if I can. I seek opportunity not security. I do not wish to be a kept citizen, humbled and dulled by having the state look after me. I want to take the calculated risk; to dream and to build, to fail and to succeed. I refuse to barter incentive for a dole. I prefer the challenges of life to the guaranteed existence; the thrill of fulfillment to the stale calm of utopia. I will not trade freedom for beneficence nor my dignity for a handout. I will never cower before any master nor bend to any threat. It is my heritage to stand erect, proud and unafraid; to think and act for myself, enjoy the benefit of my creations, and to face the world boldly and say, this I have done.”

Franklin Graham, July 2009 “This current generation is spiritually lost, attempting to fill that vacuum by the pursuit of sex, drugs, pleasure, and affluence. Many of them live in homes with parents who are lost, and they know little if anything about what God says about sin and salvation.

America must rebuild using those same blueprints America’s Greatest Generation used during the 1940s and 1950s!
