Shooting, lies, and a bakery

“In wake of shooting CO governor focuses on bloggers, talk shows and guns.”

Between the Lines

To hear the media reporting on the shooting at a Planned Parenthood clinic last week, it’s a complete mystery as to why anyone would go on a shooting rampage -- unless, of course, it is some right-wing ultra conservative activist.

The shooting last week at an abortion clinic in Colorado was tragic, of course, as three people were killed. But Planned Parenthood is playing it for all the “good” publicity it can get. You know, never let a good tragedy go to waste.

They try to determine a motive, but have you seen a photo of the shooting suspect? He looks like a wild-eyed maniac, but Planned Parenthood and a willing media are keeping everything hush-hush while they try to mold the story. You know, blame talk show hosts and gun lovers for having something to do with inciting violence of this sort.

How about it was just an out-of-control lunatic who shoots up a clinic? But, no, that would not convey the desired message. Planned Parenthood is playing the sympathy card to the media while they try to determine a motive that fits their agenda.

“To hear Hillary Clinton tell it, she was named for Sir Edmund Hillary, the conqueror of Mount Everest.”

Between the Lines

Everyone knows that Hillary Clinton is a great storyteller. While her stories are not as emotive as those of her husband, they nevertheless, are legendary.

Like the one about her being named after Sir Edmund Hillary. It’s been pointed out in the press numerous times that she was already 6 years old at the time Sir Hillary made his famous climb, so she would not have been named after him.

Or the time she said that she and her entourage had to run under the cover of darkness dodging sniper fire after landing in Bosnia. That also proved to be untrue.

And then of course, there was the infamous claim by then Secretary of State Clinton that a video had inspired rioting that led to the killings in Benghazi, Libya. A U.S. Ambassador and three other Americans were killed in this terrorist attack on our missions headquarters in 2012.

While the whole world knows now that it was not a video, as is clearly shown in Clinton’s own emails, she has yet to admit to the truth.

In fact, one wonders if she any longer knows the truth about anything. She often is “confused” as she admitted about the events that night because, “Things were happening so fast.”

This is not the kind of person we would want leading our country.

“A small family bakery in Ohio recently became famous for reasons other than their fine baked goods.”

Between the Lines

Schuler’s Bakery in Ohio put up a matter-of-fact sign on their front door and the notice went viral:

“Notice: This store is politically incorrect. We say Merry Christmas, God bless America, we salute our flag & give thanks to our troops, police officers and firefighters. If this offends you, you are welcome to leave. In God we trust.”

To that, I say, “Amen.”
