Kaitlyn Steele of the Wood Valley 4-H Club, Haley Cone of the Countyline 4-H Club, and Hayden Dallmeyer of the Three Oaks 4-H Club were honored with the Gold Star Awards. The Gold Star is the highest state 4-H achievement award. This was just one of the many honors awarded during the 2016 Wilson County 4-H Achievement Night, held July 31 in the Floresville Event Center.
Hunter Skrzycki, a member of the Bluebonnet 4-H Club, received the William H. Danforth “I Dare You” Award. Danforth’s book, I Dare You, is considered one of the most influential books in the general area of personal motivation.
Green Clover award honorees are Sara Buccigrossi, Preston Dallmeyer, Haley Kopecki, and Madison Brummett.
Recognized for their contributions to the 4-H Club were the Friends of the 4-H -- two individuals and one business -- Ivy Lanier, Dennis Manuel, and Cargill.
