City to vote on tax rate, zoning issues


The La Vernia City Council will meet Thursday, Sept. 8, at 6:30 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, to consider adopting a proposed tax rate of 19.99 cents per $100 of taxable property value for tax year 2016.

This is the same as the current rate.

Also, the city’s Planning and Zoning Commission and city council will hold public hearings in City Hall on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 8, during the council meeting regarding the following replatting issues:

¢Replatting of 317 N. Seguin Road (F.M. 775), Block 21, Lot 184, to divide Lot 17 into Lots 17A and 17B

¢Replatting of 203 McCoy St., Lot 344, to divide the lot into Lots 1 and 2.

City Hall is located at 102 E. Chihuahua St.
