‘Fixing college,’ Obamacare, Kardashians, and NATO

Headline from

“The opposition to Hillary’s plan [to ‘fix college’] is apparently bothering her camp enough that on Sept. 10, Robert Shireman ... published a Wall Street Journal op-ed, ... .”

Between the Lines

Shireman defends Hillary’s plan to “fix college,” as a key part of her campaign. Of course, we haven’t heard much about those plans lately because she is focused on Trump’s taxes.

The Trump tax situation is a false narrative set up by Hillary supporters at the New York Times, but that has not stopped the rest of the media from repeating it. Still, they report nothing about the fact that the very reason for the Clinton Foundation is to avoid taxes.

But that’s another story. As for Hillary’s college plan, it would only add to the problems already faced with higher education, where only one out of six 2015 college graduates has a job lined up.

Graduates today have huge debts, but no jobs! While Hillary addresses the debt, it would do nothing to help them find jobs. There would be even more graduates without jobs.

It’s a numbers game. Never mind that students may be better off attending a technical school or community college that actually qualifies them to earn a living.

“Anti-Christian extremists are attacking military chaplains for praying.”

Between the Lines

A few years ago, this would have been too far-fetched to even contemplate. But it is happening.

Like the misnamed Freedom From Religion Foundation that fights prayer in schools, the Military Religious Freedom Foundation is working to crush free expression of religion in the military. They are investigating chaplains for praying in uniform ... at a religious freedom event.

It appears that the Department of Defense has lost its way.

“When President Barack Obama made his case to the American people for Obamacare, he promised that it would both lower health insurance premiums and not add to the national debt.”

Between the Lines

Of course, neither of these things happened. Insurance rates have skyrocketed, and the national debt continues to spiral out of control.

“On Nov. 6, Christians around the world will lift up our persecuted brothers and sisters in prayer.”

Between the Lines

Local congregations are invited to join in prayer for the millions of Christians, especially in the Middle East. The Voice of the Martyrs offers a free 5-minute video that shows how Hannelie and her family gave their all for Christ.

“Kim Kardashian’s $10 million brazen robbery in Paris, France.”

Between the Lines

I can’t imagine having $10 million period, but having that much in jewelry in a hotel room in Paris? Why?

“Donald Trump has a point about NATO”

Between the Lines

This is written by John Bolton, former U.N. ambassador. He knows of what he speaks and adds credibility to Trump’s criticism of NATO.

With the United Kingdom’s impending exit from the EU following BREXIT, the very real possibility exists that this will further divide America and Europe, endangering our security.
