•Stop by the First Baptist Church at 201 South Crews St. in La Vernia for its free Fall Festival Trunk-or-Treat on Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 6-8 p.m. Attendees can take a hayride or hop in a barrel train, enjoy carnival-style games, a bounce house, slide, and obstacle course, and get their fill of free hot dogs, lemonade, and popcorn. •St. Ann’s Trunk or Treat Monday, Oct. 31, from 6-8 p.m. Whip up a great costume and enjoy this free, fun, and safe way to celebrate Halloween with friends and family. The festivities will be in the parking lot of St. Ann Catholic Church in La Vernia, where kids can trick or treat safely from cars full of candy and treats.
