The Twice Blest Thrift Ministry is not accepting any donations at this time.
According to volunteers, the ministry of the La Vernia United Methodist Church, located adjacent to the church at 132 Bluebonnet Road (F.M. 775), is full and cannot accept new donations.
They invite community members to contribute their items to The Cranny, which supports the Guadalupe Valley Family Violence Shelter in Seguin, or to Goodwill or the Salvation Army, which both have locations in San Antonio.
Twice Blest is open Fridays and Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It offers clothing and accessories for men, women, and children, as well as books, children’s games and puzzles, home décor, kitchen items, dishes, and housewares.
The ministry has helped provide clothing and necessities to area families whose homes have been devastated by fire or flood, and families in need.
Proceeds from the ministry benefit the La Vernia Christian Food Pantry, Guadalupe Valley Family Violence Center, the Senior Center in Seguin, La Vernia Volunteer Fire Department and La Vernia EMS, Sutherland Springs Food Pantry, and ministries of the La Vernia United Methodist Church.
