The most beautiful part of our walk with the Lord is the time that we can spend in prayer with Him. He is always there and He always hears. He could have prepared the world for us and not made prayer a part of it, but He is there and wants to hear from us. His glory is wonderful.
Let’s look to the Scriptures and claim some of the promises of prayer that are contained therein.
“Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I” (Isaiah 58:9).
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened” (Matthew 7:7-8).
Another beautiful promise: “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer” (Matthew 21:22).
“Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear” (Isaiah 65:24). Promises don’t get any better than that! And we don’t have to doubt. He is our Lord and Savior and His Word is divine.
Another promise: “You will pray to him, and he will hear you” (Job 22:27). He is listening, He hears us, He answers, He wants us to seek Him in everything.
Another beautiful promise from our Heavenly Father: “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3). He wants us to come to Him. He wants to answer our prayers. He wants to lead us. He wants to always show His love to us.
Praise the Lord! He came for us. Respond to His call; there place your trust. Acknowledge His abundant great love, yearning to always hear from above, earnestly seeking Him and do His will. Rest in Him. In His goodness be still.
