Media bias, V-E Day, and Black Lives

Headline from

AMAC.us

“... there is a vitriol towards Donald Trump that we have never seen with any other president.”

Between the Lines

There is no doubt that President Trump’s administration is the most derided of any other administration in history. Research shows that the huge (and I do mean YUGE), number of stories about this administration are negative, or plainly biased.

Trump does not hide what he thinks and does not play the politically correct game, but rather, calls it like he sees it. From that perspective, his administration is the most transparent in history. And it is driving the liberals and the media crazy.

“V-E (Victory in Europe) Day is commemorated on May 8, ... .”

Between the Lines

After the 1945 Allied victory over the German forces, who had surrendered the day before, May 8 became V-E Day. Surrender of the Nazi Germans was a significant step toward ending World War II -- so much so that President Harry Truman called for a day of prayer. He asked Americans to thank God for allowing that victory.

Perhaps the “God thing” is why our secular media and public schools give little recognition to V-E Day.

“Turning away from street protests, Black Lives Matter tries a new tactic in the age of Trump.”

Between the Lines

Does it not seem ironic that, under a black president, street riots by Black Lives Matter escalated, but now they try “a new tactic?”

DNC Email

“The Democratic Party is proud to stand in solidarity with women around the world marching for progress. ... And we will not back down when it comes to fighting Donald Trump ... .”

Between the Lines

The Dems were celebrating International Women’s Day and blaming Trump for “turning back the clock” on women’s rights. How could that be, considering that Trump has appointed women to some of the highest and most powerful positions in the United States?

Is it because their own woman candidate did not win the presidency? They continue to be such sore losers.

Headline from

NPR.org

“North Korea, for its part, called on the eve of the South Korean election, for an ‘end to conflict’ between the two Koreas, ... .”

Between the Lines

While most of the headlines from Korea have been about North Korea’s provocations toward the West, perhaps some attention should be paid to South Korea’s new president. Is the talk of a “new era” for the two Koreas, just talk? Once the new president, Moon Jae-in, assumes the power, he may moderate his talk. If not, this “new era” could change the close ties to America. The world only gets more complicated -- and more dangerous -- by the minute.

Headline from

WashingtonPost.com

“Comey misstated key Clinton email evidence at hearing, say people close to investigation.”

Between the Lines

Looking back on everything FBI Director James Comey has said and done is enough to make you dizzy. What is one more “misstatement” from him?
