Judicial Watch

“... in a historic decision, every Supreme Court justice agreed for now to reinstate practically all of President Trump’s executive order concerning travel.”

Between the Lines

Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, said this ruling means victory for our national security, even as it goes against the anti-Trump activist judges in the lower courts. Americans deserve to be secure.

“Tell your Senators to ... get behind the Cruz amendment to the Senate health care bill, ... .”

Between the Lines

This of course depends on your view of the health care bill and how you view Sen. Cruz. You can call the Capitol switchboard at 866-220-0044 to let your senators know how you feel about the Cruz Amendment: For or Against.

The amended bill will then have to get through the Senate and back to the House in order for it to be signed by the president.

“Two Texas children tragically died this week in hot cars, ... .”

Between the Lines

Having a child die accidently has got to be one of the most heart-breaking things that can happen to a parent.

Several companies are working on ways to avoid this tragedy. One innovative invention is the eClip that attaches inside your car. It will automatically alert parents by cell phone if they unknowingly leave a child behind.

“Supreme Court Rules Religious School Can Use Taxpayer Funds For Playground”

Between the Lines

One of the first rulings by this newly seated Supreme Court is welcome news for religious freedom. They ruled that a school could not be denied state funds just because it was run by a church when such funds were available to similar facilities.

“Amazon’s introduction into the grocery business is likely to ratchet up competition in the grocery sector. ... .” Between the Lines

Amazon’s purchase of Whole Foods will undoubtedly have profound implications. Predictions from the outset are that it could negatively affect small grocers and possibly contribute further to the dying main streets in America.

It is an exciting development, but one worth watching to see how it impacts the market. Even Walmart is paying attention to this one.

DailySignal.com

“The nation’s leading source of information on U.S. charities faces mounting criticism for using a controversial ‘hate group’ designation in listings for ... conservative nonprofits.”

Between the Lines

It’s a good idea to pay attention to who is doing the fact checking. In this case, it is GuideStar using designations by the Southern Poverty Law Center -- hardly a neutral source.

Some 41 conservative nonprofits are protesting being labeled as “hate groups.” Could this be a case of the kettle calling the pot black?

Headline from

Save Our Monarchs Fdn.

“Thanks to everyone who participated in National Pollinator Week.”

Between the lines

The Save Our Monarch Foundation is a nonprofit organization devoted to spreading the word about the endangered and beautiful butterflies -- and spreading milkweed seeds. To help save the monarchs or to find out more information, go to SaveOurMonarchs.org.
