He will supply all we need

 

“My God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory to Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).

How does God supply our needs? Do you have a bigger house than many of your friends and therefore you know that God loves you more than your friends? Or maybe you have a little house, does that mean that God doesn’t love you as much as others?

How about a car? Is your car new and special and therefore you know that God loves you more than those that drive used cars? Or maybe your vehicle is very old, with a lot of mileage and that is a sign that God isn’t caring for your daily needs and He must love others more?

What about your health? Are you in good shape and God is supplying all your needs and therefore He loves you more than someone that is ill? Or are you suffering with many different medical problems and you are thinking that God is not supplying your needs and must not be showing love to you?

No! No! That is not the way that we should be judging God. God is love!

He loves us beyond anything that we can understand é His love is eternal and complete!

Maybe He doesn’t give us the biggest house on the block because He knows that we don’t need it and we need to always look to Him to supply our needs and count our blessings.

What about our health? Do we suffer because God doesn’t care? No! No!

He knows our every need and supplies those needs according to His love and His direction. If everyone that “gives” their life to Christ suddenly has perfect health, would people come to the Lord because they want Him to live in them and to direct their paths, or would they come to Him because of having perfect health? What would be the reason for directing your life to Him? Would it be genuine or just an excuse to improve their health?

Let’s turn to our gracious and loving Lord every day, every moment, and seek His will in our lives and seek His direction in all of our actions.

Let’s live for Him and not worry about the size of our home, the newness of our vehicles, or the benefits of good health. Let’s always look to Him for direction and guidance and turn always to Him.

“I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:11-13).

Praise the name of the Lord.
