La Vernia maze

La Vernia maze

While planning a design for this fall, the current situation in Texas has changed the course for the 2017 Circle N Maze season. This year’s design is "Texas Strong," and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to hurricane relief. The maze opens to the public Saturday, Sept. 23.

The Circle N Maze will be 5.5 acres, with a small, .3-mile maze for the little ones, and a 2.5-acre maze totaling nearly 3 miles of trail for everyone’s enjoyment.

Several attractions are returning to the maze, including pumpkin bowling, "steer" roping, a mini-maze, hay bale pyramids, and bouncy ball races.

Circle N also has increased the size of its petting zoo. Visitors can pet some of the cutest farm animals out there! Enjoy calves, kid goats and lambs, piglets, chicks, and ducklings. Visit in the evening to get a chance to bottle-feed the calves!

Of course, new attractions have been added this season. Do you love swimming? What about diving into a trough of corn? Little visitors can take a "dip" in a sea of yellow corn. Also new is the tractor tire playground, where you can run and climb on some of the biggest tires in town!

Circle N also is planning a special Halloween trick-or-treat event.

Hours are Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sundays from noon to 5 p.m., and Fridays in October from 6-10 p.m. Food trucks will be available Saturdays and Sundays.

Admission is $10 per person; ages 2 and under are free. Group discounts are available and must be scheduled ahead of time.

Circle N Maze is located at 558 C.R. 345 in La Vernia.
