He leads us through the maze

Have you ever gone to a maze? Working your way through the maze is a challenge but brings much entertainment. We have a maze here in our community that was put together by the Herley family, and it is an enjoyable place to attend. Plan to take your family and/or friends and have a wonderful time enjoying the maze. You might get lost and have a problem finding your way to the exit, but it is always a fun experience. There is always help if you get lost, but it is the fun of finding your way that makes the day so enjoyable.

How about our daily lives? Do we sometimes feel that we are in a “maze” and need help? Let’s look to God’s Word and claim His promises. In Psalm 32:7 we find, “You are my hiding place, You will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.”

“Why are you downcast, O my soul? Who so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God” (Psalm 42:11).

Again in the Psalms we find the following, “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever” (Psalm 73:26). We can always claim God’s promises. He never fails.

In Nahum 1:7 we can claim the following promise, “The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him.” This is telling us that we can always trust Him. He cares for us and will never fail. Isn’t that the most beautiful promise possible?

“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” We find this promise in Psalm 18:2.

If we feel lost in the maze, we can claim the words from Micah 7:8-9, “Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light. Because I have sinned against Him, I will hear the Lord’s wrath, until He pleads my case and establishes my right. He will bring me out into the light; I will see His righteousness.”

Surely our precious Lord has promised to lead us through the “maze.” He is always there and we can call upon Him. Praise His name!

We serve a glorious and a-maze-ing God. He will lead us through any maze. Call upon Him always!
