Enjoy treats, trunks, tricks, and fall fests this Halloween

It’s that time of year again! Time to don that costume, dress up the kids, and get your fill of candy, at one or more of the many events in La Vernia to celebrate the season.

• Stop by the First Baptist Church at 201 South Crews St. in La Vernia for its free Fall Festival Trade for a Treat on Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 6-8 p.m. Attendees can take a hayride or hop in a barrel train, and enjoy games, a bounce house, and music provided by Air 1 Radio. Guests can also get their fill of free hot dogs and popcorn. Don’t forget to wear a costume and take a nonperishable canned good and trade it for a treat to support the La Vernia Food Pantry. For information, call Miranda Gravett at 830-253-1239 or info@fbclv.com.

• La Vernia Grizzlies Youth Sports Association Trunk or Treat Thursday, Oct. 26, at Wiseman Field located at 1035 F.M. 775 in La Vernia. Grizzlies parents are encouraged to set up their cars, decorate, and hand out candy. For information, visit the LVgrizzlies on Facebook.
