Happy to bring some joy

Happy to bring some joy

Knowing the impact her good deed had on the Kremis family is thanks enough.

That’s the message an area resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, shared when she dropped by the La Vernia News office Dec. 22.

She’d seen the front-page story, “‘Special delivery’ warms widow’s heart,” in our Dec. 21 issue, and stopped in to say how happy she was to know the rest of the story, after finding a package in the middle of C.R. 344 and delivering it to Dawn Kremis’ home nearby.

Though the newspaper office was closed, the La Vernia Public Library in the same building was open, and Margaret Markham in the library shared the visitor’s comments with the La Vernia News.

“She told me that she simply did ‘what my Lord wanted me to do,’” Margaret said, adding that the individual told her she is “a very private person” and does not want further recognition.

The Good Samaritan said she was very glad the package brought such joy -- and that the La Vernia News ran the story, so she knew her good deed had a happy ending!
