The 56th annual La Vernia Junior Livestock and Poultry Show will be held Thursday, Feb. 28, and Friday and Saturday, March 1-2, on the chamber grounds, located at 12301 U.S. 87 in La Vernia. Members of the La Vernia Chamber of Commerce and Stock Show and Auction Sales committees, along with the Buyers’ Pool, have been putting together the final stages of preparation to ensure another great event for our La Vernia Independent School District FFA and 4-H exhibitors.

There will be plenty of food and beverage booths as well as vendors displaying arts and crafts and other venues.

Youth are the future of our world, and it’s the chamber’s endeavor to assist them in being able to complete their 4-H and FFA projects by securing funds through the auction sale that will help them secure their dream of college or technical school, advancing the education for our next generation of workers.

The buyers’ pool also will be accepting donations for the 2013 show.

Anyone wishing to make a donation to the Buyers’ Pool may visit the booth set up at the show or send their contribution to La Vernia Chamber of Commerce, P.O.
