Garden Fest

Historic Herff Farm Homestead Open House

The historic Herff Homestead at the Herff Farm at the Cibolo will open to the public for the first time since its restoration was completed. The opening will be celebrated with period storytellers, guided tours and children’s crafts and games. Guadalupe County Master Gardeners Meetin

The Guadalupe Master Gardeners will meet on Thursday, October 16th at the Justice Center on 211 Court Street in Seguin, TX. Mr. Kirby Fry will be the speaker and talk about “Food Forests: Perennial Forest Gardening Systems.” Mr. Fry has been a permaculture teacher and design consultant for more than 15 years. He studied permaculture under Bill Mollison. He is also familiar with conventional agriculture and forestry, having studied these disciplines at Texas A&M. He offers permaculture design services via his firm, Southern Exposure Permaculture. In addition, he has extensive experience as a building contractor, including natural building. Wilson County Sheriff Santa Shootout

The 20th Annual Shootout is one of the two principal fundraisers for the Sheriff Santa Program. Sponsored by the Wilson County Sheriff's Office. The Shootout has grown from a handful of people the first year to over 50 participants. The shootout is an original and one of a kind experience. Shooting at targets for places in various divisions. The shootout has door prizes, prizes for each division, lots of fun, and great food! Registration begins at 9:00 A.M. It is $8 per round, with unlimited round entries.
