9/28: During the Sept. 17-18 Pawdoptathon event at San Antonio Pets Alive, this sweet face won over Floresville resident Jeffery Legere. Dalton, who was born at the animal shelter after they took in his mother, is a Chiweenie mix, who now has a fur-ever home in Wilson County.
9/21: Linus is ready and anxious to start power walking on his dogPacer. Due to herniated disc surgery in November 2011, Linus is required to complete two 20-minute sessions per day. He belongs to Deci Murphy, who lives near Floresville.

7/20: Levi is a recent rescue puppy, energetic, sweet, and smart. More than anything else in the world (besides eating), he loves running, playing, and being hugged and petted. Levi is ready to find his forever family. He’s about 10 months old, 45 pounds, and has been neutered, wormed, and vaccinated. He even comes with his own bag of food and a new collar. 4/27: Isabel Smith admires a Rouen duckling, one of eight her aunt, Sharon Pike-Todd, has recently added to her “mini-farm” near La Vernia. The ducklings are awaiting names as their personalities develop. They join two other ducks, along with the chickens, goats, and dogs already populating the Todds’ little farm.
4/20: What movie are we watching tonight, guys? Four-month-old lab Major is always up for movie night with his family. He belongs to the Cassias family of Floresville.
4/13: Looks as if Jasper is providing a subtle hint that he’s longing for something a little more tropical. He belongs to Debie and her husband, H.R. Grimm, who pens the La Vernia News column, “Musings from Behind the Couch.” They live in the countryside near La Vernia.
4/6: Ashley Nicole, a sweet 10-year-old pug and Chihuahua mix, is not one for treats, but she’ll turn up her nose at her dog food if it doesn’t include some meat. She loves to sleep by the feet of her human, Kayla Kunath, or in her lap.
3/30: Hazel, a 9-month-old rescue/foster/adopted kitty, rules the roost at the Bipperts' homestead in La Vernia. She loves to carry her toys around the house and "give them a bath" in the dog's water bowl. She is a little peculiar, but very much loved.
3/23: Not even a week old, but steady on her hooves, baby goat Solo is just too precious for words. She was born Jan. 24, 2016, in Sutherland Springs to breeder Crystal Holcombe and now belongs to Sabrina Lamm. Solo is a Nigerian Dwarf/pygmy goat cross.

1/13: There is no thing as "too close for comfort" when it comes to Bella, a miniature dachshund, as she snuggles in tight with owner Paul Dylla during last week's cooler temperatures.
1/6: Meet the Weavers' feathered friend, a Dominique chicken, snacking on her favorite treat, an apple.
12/30: This feathered beauty is named Lady, and she is the loveliest of all the chickens in her yard. She belongs to the Peterson family of Adkins.
12/23: Upon inspecting the finished product, 9-year-old Santa Paws takes his spot underneath the Christmas tree, to make sure all of its ornaments stay in place. He belongs to the Bard family of La Vernia, who he adopted one snowy Christmas Eve when they were stationed at Shaw Air Force Base in Camden, S.C. Santa Paws shares the Bard family with Saxton, 11, a Border Collie; Sadie, 8, a mixed breed; and 7-month-old Sable, a Golden Retriever, but he definitely rules the roost with antics like ringing a bell on the door which indicates to him and the rest of the herd that it’s “Treat Time!”
12/16: If you blink, you’ll miss him. Dubbed Oliver the tree frog, he makes occasional appearances in the back yard of Kinley Winter of Floresville, where he eats everything in sight.
12/9: Blue thinks he is king of the yard and loves running after birds and climbing trees to chase the squirrels up the branches. Although territorial, Blue is also loyal and obedient and is loved so much. He belongs to Jessie and Martha Peterson of Adkins.
12/2: Animals get lonely without their humans too. Case in point, Jasper the "cat dog" decided to go to work with owner Debie Grimm, so he jumped in her purse, hoping to stay incognito. 10/21: This is Hoss. He is 3 years old and belongs to the Winter family of Floresville. He is such a mellow, low-key dog. His favorite pastimes are sleeping and snacking.
10/14: Meet Dumas! He is the 11-year-old shepherd mix furred friend of Kristal Fowler.
10/7: Atlas is a rescue from JJ & Maggie’s Cat Rescue in Floresville and the newest member of the Estrada family. He is playful and adventurous, yet shy and loving. He enjoys playing with his toys and waiting for his family to get home to cuddle. Although he is up at all hours of the night playing, he does find time to catch up on sleep when his humans are wide awake.
9/30: Missy Bridges has moved to Lee’s Summit, Mo., with her folks, J. Earl and Charlene Bridges, who sold their business, Bridges Rifle Co., to move closer to their grandkids. Missy sends her love to all her friends in La Vernia!
9/23: Adrian, an American Bulldog, is currently training to be a PTSD and medical service dog. She belongs to Virginia and Savana Kupper of Adkins. Although training keeps her busy, Adrian still finds time to eat any stray ice cubes that get dropped on the floor and play fetch with tennis balls, which makes it hard for Savana, who will try out for the La Vernia Junior High School tennis team, to keep the balls out of her sight.
9/16: Looking for a good home for my cat, DC. He is a 12-year-old American Tabby, in excellent health, up to date on his shots, neutered, is a good mouser and lizard chaser, and has all his claws. I am hoping someone who needs a good cat to keep varmints and rodents away will want to adopt him. He is friendly to everyone, even people who do not like cats, and best of all he does not require a litter box — when he needs to go out, he meows to let you know. 8/26: This is Larry the walking stick. He rides along with La Vernia News employee Nancy Tamez to the newspaper office sometimes. He also performs acrobatics on her truck’s antenna.
8/19: Cooper is a rescue dog that looks to be an Australian Shepard and Jack Russell mix. He is 3 years old. He was a contestant in this year’s Pet Parade Contest.
8/12: Chloe is a rescue dog. She is about two years old and loves her human, Alena Gutierrez. She is such a sweet girl! And she doesn’t really enjoy wearing clothes.
8/5: This is Judith Polasek, 4 years old, with her rescue Terrier Chloe, who is 3 years old. Chloe is very sweet and minds so well with Judith.
7/29: Tucker is an 18 month old Blue tick Coon hound belonging to the Towns family of La Vernia. His personality is fun loving, care free, and he has one of the biggest hearts! He loves to chew on anything he can get in his mouth, including things that shouldn’t be chewed, and he loves to play, fetch, run around, and cuddle. He also likes to think he is a lap dog, and I would say his favorite place to be is on the bed! He has long legs he hasn’t quite got the hang of yet, so he can be a tad clumsy, and his favorite pastime is sleeping.
7/22: Jordan Albright of Floresville loves her Dachshund named Ryder. He is very spunky and loves to run, chase birds, and squeak his dog toys. He is the king of his yard and takes his job very seriously!

7/30: Lee Ann Lenfest rescued Abby Gail from a very busy intersection at 4 weeks of age last May. Abby goes outside on supervised visits with a harness and leash.
7/23: Sheeba, “white cat,” and Lola go for their daily walk on Reuben Garcia’s back prairie in La Vernia. Sheeba adopted Marco Aluia about two months ago, demanding food and shelter.
7/17: Phoebe is a Chihuahua Dauchshund mix and is 10 years old. She is Zachary Duelm’s dog, but her “Grandma” Cecil Zenner takes care of her while Zachary is at college. Phoebe is very protective of her grandma. She has a very long body like a dachshund, but perky ears like a chihuahua.
7/9: Perd is a catahoula hound. He belongs to Julia, James Paul, and Jude Weaver of Floresville. Perd was born near the Pedernales River area, which is how the family came up with his name. Perd always carries a stick or object in his mouth, or sometimes a gopher. He is an avid hunter and keeps the family farm free of raccoons and coyotes. He also loves to have adventures with the Weaver children.
7/3: Skipper, an 11-year-old chocolate Lab, enjoys attention she receives from family members Josh and Jake Rowan of La Vernia, as well as swimming, hunting gophers, and chasing squirrels. After all that excitement, she loves falling asleep in her favorite easy chair.
6/25: Mylie, a 6-year-old pug, is not impressed with early morning wakeup calls. Mylie’s disdain for mornings is shared by her mom, Jennifer Ingram of Dallas.
6/18: Rosa is a rat terrier. She belongs to Julia, James Paul, and Jude Weaver of Floresville. Rosa was the runt of her litter, which the family thinks contributes to her 9-pound size. She loves to bird and gopher hunt, and she is a good watch dog, but she has a loving and sweet nature.
6/4: Ziva gets a ride on top of her equestrian friend, Leo. She kept one paw up like she was trying to do a trick or something. Ziva and Leo are the furred friends of Sandy and Tommy Detamore of Floresville.

5/8: Jason and Laura Voss and their furry friends, Costa and Dually, gather at the home of Grandma Norma Voss in La Vernia to share news of their family expansion. It would seem Costa and Dually will gain a new playmate and the Voss family will add a new hunting buddy, due Sept. 9 this year.
4/30: Janet Greenwood shares this photo of her new kittens, born Easter Sunday. Mama cat is Little Bit. Janet’s granddaughters, Alyssa and Kinley, can’t wait to see the new arrivals. Janet lives in La Vernia and works for the school district. Her four-legged family members also include a dog named Big Boy, a lovable tabby named Rascal, and Misfit, a calico cat.
4/23: Butterscotch is about 2 years old. We rescued her last year. She was an instant family member. Our kids, Rylan, 8, and Sydnee, 6, love to play with her. She lives inside but when the family is outside she has to be too, even to get her photo taken in the blue bonnet patch.
4/16: Kracken and her sister, Violet, are 5 years old and were dumped on the porch of Animal Crossing Vet clinic. Kracken is very vocal and loves to sit in weird positions. She adores catnip and yowls whenever I come indoors hoping I have brought her some grass from the yard. She is a Russian Blue. She belongs to Pascalle Bippert and has lots of fans on Facebook.
4/9: Bella, a Great Pyrenees mix, sits among a field of bluebonnets. Bella was adopted by the Frappier family of San Antonio from Las Lomas K9 Rescue & Adoption Foundation.
4/2: Ammo belongs to James & Kristen Weaver of Floresville. Ammo’s favorite place to lounge is the bathroom sink. It cradles him, reminding him of his younger days we think, and feels nice and cool! He enjoys playing with the Weaver kids, too, Julia, James Paul, and Jude.
3/26: Jase is a Toy Yorkie. He celebrated his first birthday on March 21! Jase loves road trips with his momma, Briana Dominguez. Jase and I complete our little family; he was brought to me from Oklahoma. Jase loves to play with his toys, especially his basketball and his favorite treat is a duck hide bacon strip.
3/19: Michelle Dech is the handler of Pandora Dech, a pet therapy dog. Pandora shows her anxiety over taking a test at a recent visit to La Vernia High School. Animal testing at its worst.
3/12: Meet Hunter, a 3-month-old Australian Shepherd. He belongs to Juan, 4-years-old, and Alex, 2-years-old, from Floresville. Hunter is extremely hyper and loves playing with the boys.
3/5: Lola, shown here being very cute, is a newly adopted La Vernian. Lola is 6 years old and was adopted from Hound Haven in Pleasanton. She enjoys running in the “back prairie” with owner, Marco Aluia, and uncle, Reuben Garcia.
2/26: Jordan Albright, of Floresville, loves playing with her many cats. This is one of her favorites, named Marie. As Jordan walks to her Nana’s house next door everyday to visit, Marie follows and keeps her company. They are great pals.
2/19: Kyle Winter, of Floresville, enjoys riding his 11-year-old Paint horse named Bumper. Kyle rides every weekend and finds it relaxing to spend time at the barn and clean the stalls.

1/29: Gus is a member of Bob and Nancy Ryan’s family. He’s a loving 77 lbs with a blue and brown eye. His favorite toy is a well shaken-to-death brown teddy bear, he loves it. He was rescued 3 years ago on Christmas Eve.
1/22: Tigger is an 11 lb. Jack Russel Terrier mix. He is a rescue dog all the way from Houston. He loves to climb the mesquite trees on his place to look for lizards, also, just for the pure joy of it! But his real job is to keep the feral hogs away from his people.

1/8: This is Blue, he is a Blue Heeler. He is very smart, loyal, and loves chasing birds and protecting his yard. He belongs to Jessie and Martha Peterson of Adkins.
1/2: Rocky, the pooch of Constable George Scoggins and his wife Brenda Scoggins got an early Christmas present when he spotted Santa and the LV fire department.

12/4: Mojo belongs to the Cabello family in La Vernia. He is a 4-year-old Chihuahua who loves to lay across his momma’s shoulders when he goes “bye-bye” with his family, and loves to dig in gopher holes!
11/27: Meet Stinger, who was rescued and is now a goodwill animal ambassadors for Morgan’s Wonderland theme park and the San Antonio Scorpions pro soccer team. Stinger is an 18-week-old terrier mix with special needs. Stinger will be making an appearance at Morgan’s Wonderland in December.
11/20: Makena Owens, granddaughter of Ronny and Elaine Stephens of La Vernia, gets a little love from a furry friend.
11/13: Nadia Cassias of Floresville has set up a tea party to enjoy with her furry friend, Miley, and, needless to say, it’s a hit!
11/6: Meet Gadget, a very goofy feline. Through a series of maneuvers, he reaches the top of the bathroom door where he surveys his domain, often to take a nap, or get away from the kids. He loves to go for a ride in the car and even walks on a leash! He belongs to Ina Touchstone of Floresville.
10/30: Five-year-old German Shepherd mix Louisville "Louis" Kentucky is one of two dogs who are a proud part of the Gibbs family in Poth.
10/23: Nine-year-old Sonny Hernandez of Floresville has a stare-off with his one-year-old furred friend, Padme.
10/16: Meet “Tamale” or “Molly”, for short. She is 16 years old and was born in Queretaro, Mexico on Cinco de Mayo. Her human mama is Tina Herbold, owner of The Boutique in Always and Forever. Molly loves showing off how she can stand on her back legs.
10/9: This is Lucy. Her special trait is that she scoops water from her bowl with her foot to drink. But only when she thinks no one is looking. Lucy belongs to Taryn Smith-Morales of Floresville.
10/2: This is Max. He’s a feisty 8-year-old Tabby. He weighs about 17 pounds and in this photo Julz is bringing Nadia’s foot a little closer to Max so he can get a little nibble. He has a thing for feet. Max belongs to the Cassias family of Floresville.

9/11: Filou belongs to Ghislaine “Ly” Mathieu who used to live in La Vernia. Now Filou and Ly live in Alabama. He loves to help her sew and other crafty things she does. Filou is French for “Little devil”. Filou is a Texas native but has adjusted to life in Alabama.
9/4: This is Daisy. She is a one-year-old Chiweenie. She likes to play outside, help out in the garden, and play with the big dogs, Patches and Tater. She belongs to Dawn Tappen.
8/28: Lucy (dog) and Ethel (kitten) belong to Kait Steele of La Vernia. Ethel, the kitten, is saying to Lucy, the dog, “I Love Lucy”.
8/21: This is Ranger. He is a 2-year-old lab who loves to swim. “The problem is,” says the Sherrard family, “that after he’s wet he also likes to dry off by rolling around in the grass, sand, or in this case, some dirt. He’s a good boy but always seems to find himself getting in a little trouble.”
8/14: Theresa Murray of La Vernia shares her feathered friends in this photo she captured recently. The swallows, born on her patio, were a bit reluctant to take flight.
8/7: Mia visits Bridges Rifle Company with her owner Taylor McGrew. Taylor is the daughter of Jeff and Pam McGrew of Stockdale. Mia is a Coton de Tulear and hails from Madagascar.

7/17: Meet Ferrah the ferret. She belongs to Amy Koch and family.
7/10: Meet one-year-old Peanut. He loves to chase butterflies and enjoys playing with his new little sister, Kit, and loves attention! Peanut belongs to Janet Greenwood.
7/3: Chelsea Bippert’s rat, Mr. Darcy, is a gentleman rat. He is approximately a year and a half and he was a rescue rat. He was in a cage of “feeder rats” in a pet store and was destined to be fed to a snake. Chelsea felt sorry for him and instantly fell in love with him when he snuggled with her. Mr. Darcy came home with Chelsea after her tonsillectomy last year and provided snuggles and comfort to her. He lives in harmony with the cats in the Bippert house, and even gets kisses from Chloe, their dog!
6/26: “This sweet girl’s name is Cammy. Cammy is my ‘rescue’ Siberian Husky. She spent her entire 6 years on a chain. She was emaciated and had wounds from being so malnourished that she was slowly deteriorating. Cammy is now gaining weight and loves to sleep on our bed with us. She loves to cuddle and wrestle with her new brothers and she finally gets her shot to live a very happy life which is the least this loving dog deserves!” Cammy belongs to Danielle Ogasian.

6/12: Digger rescued off a chain, doing what she does best. Digger belong’s to Eli Bryan of La Vernia.
6/6: This is Daisey Mae. She is part Border Collie, part full Collie. Daisey is the perfect farm dog who loves herding the cattle, even when they don’t need herding. Daisey is always ready to play with the soccer ball or the chickens.
5/30: “Amarillo is a stray who showed up, bleeding from a leg injury, in our neighborhood three years ago. After no one responded to our “found dog” ads and flyers, she has become a member of our family, always eager to “help”. In this picture, she is holding the coffee can we use to scoop horse feed.” Amarillo belongs to Caren Ramon.
5/22: Shelby McLeod shares her pet, Roscoe. “He is a mini Dachshund, although he is closer to the standard size! This photo was taken after he floated with me out in our pool, and I guess it wore him out. Roscoe honestly believes he is human and as you can see he even sleeps like a human!”

4/24: “This is Dalton’s dog Clyde. While I was visiting beautiful La Vernia in the month of March, Clyde and I walked every day to pick up the kids at daycare. Clyde loves his family and is so happy whenever any one of them come home to play with him. He sleeps every night with his owner and I know the joy he gives his family.” Submitted by Grandma “MIMI.”
4/17: “Our dog, Tebow, was found by my husband on FM 775. We were able to contact the owner and the owner asked if we would keep him. Gladly, we did. Our 7-year-old daughter, Rainey is his “human”. He loves her beyond measure. We believe he is a Catahoula and he has white-blue eyes. He smiles showing both his upper and lower teeth when he is happy! It’s hilarious. We love him a bunch!!!” says Niki S. Jackson.
4/11: Meet Rascal and Silver. These fine felines belong to Kevin and Amanda Mosel. Rascal is 4 years old and is very rambunctious. He is a typical cat, not very loving toward strangers and is very protective of Silver. Silver is one year old and his story is special. The Mosels took in Silver as a foster last March. He was abused and ADL had to remove his left hind leg when he was 7 weeks old. The family took him home when he was 8 weeks old and at 12 weeks when his recovery was over, they adopted him. Losing his hind leg hasn’t slowed him down one bit. He runs and jumps like any other cat. He is very affectionate and wants lots of loving.

1/9: “Chuck” Bandit, a beagle, loves catching the scent of the rabbits in the pasture and chasing them all evening. His favorite activity is begging his mom, Jill, to go on walks down the dirt road.

12/26: Annie is a Lhasa Apso-Terrier mix who belongs to Sarah Lange. Annie is 6 years old. She was adopted from the Animal Defense League in San Antonio when she was a puppy. Her favorite treats are Milk-Bones. Her cutest trick: She does the G.I.Joe (belly crawl) in the morning to greet Sarah’s mom. When Sarah’s mom, Phyllis, asks Annie if she wants to go, outside and Annie does not want to go she immediately sits down to answer NO. She is very protective of Sarah.

12/13: Tutti is 1 year old. She is a Malti-Tzu (Half Maltese and half Shih Tzu). She weighs about 10 pounds and belongs to Grace Cox (holding her).
12/5: Jasper belongs to Linda Grohman. He is a double yellow headed Amazon parrot. Linda has had him since he was a baby and his is now 21 years old.

5/10: Kallee is a one-year and one-month-old Morkie (half Yorkie, half Maltese). She loves to play with her Rottweiler sister, Casey. They love to play tug-of-war with their rope toys but Casey always wins unless Kallee wants a free ride. Kallee has such a beautiful personality and she loves to please and give lots of kisses. Kallee belongs to Tony and Rhonda Gann of La Vernia.
5/3: Junior is a 4-1/2-year-old Albino Australian Sheperd. He is sensitive to light and has very little sight. He is very smart. Junior belongs to Pauline Young.
4/25: Abbey is a 12-year-old English Mastiff owned by Andrea Eden. Jared Eden, 11 years old, relaxes with Abbey at the La Vernia City Park Little League field. Abbey loves to play tug of war (she wins every time) and enjoys laying in the pond to cool off.
4/18: Macy just celebrated her first birthday and belongs to The Bachman family in La Vernia. Macy is a big ham — and likes to get her picture taken. Macy loves to play with the kids and to be on the water at the river or the lake.
4/11: Jerry is a one-year-old Shepard mix. He was adopted by the Smith family. His hobbies include hunting gophers and lounging in the shade.
4/4: George and Ernie belong to Kathryn and Gary Smith. Kathryn owns Clip’N Tails Pet Salon in La Vernia.
3/28: Debra and Jackie of Sutherland Springs are the proud new owners of two mini donkeys named Bud and Eeyore. Bud loves his food and will follow the grandkids around wherever they go. Eeyore is a little shy and getting used to his new home.
3/22: Parker is a three-year-old Yorkie. He belongs to Becky, JJ, and Morgan of La Vernia. His pal, Morgan, is in fifth grade at La Vernia Intermediate School. He is a little dog with a big attitude! He loves to steal anything he can manage to run away with and stashes the items under the bed.
3/14: Maggie, the Basset Hound, was rescued by Marci Prater a few months ago. She is quite the character and she believes that she’s quite scary with her ginormous bark! Her favorite pastime is pestering the horses and trying to sneak into the house for treats.
3/8: “Little Ms. Coco, a black Pug, came to be the queen of our castle Christmas of 2010 at just 4 weeks old. She loves to pack around her huge stuffed purple bunny, always ready to chase her ball and loves to eat fruit! Her favorites are oranges & apples.” CoCo belongs to Marci Prater.
2/23: Sissy is an 18 month old Jack Russell Terrier - Pug blend. She was rescued at 3 months old and has been living with the Brewton-Fuller family of La Vernia as a foster ever since. She is a sweet, 15 pound, spayed female with a prissy dog attitude. Sissy recently attended opening day ceremonies for Barker’s Pet Ranch and had a wonderful time meeting all the dogs and visitors! She gets along with dogs, cats and most importantly — KIDS!!! Sissy has been microchipped and is available for adoption through www.dogsrus.org.
2/16: Rocky is a seven-year-old chihuahua. He is one of five dogs owned by Lee and Andrew Peterson. Rocky likes to play with and chase his dog friends. He also enjoys watching TV with his owners!
2/9: This is Honey. She belongs to Skylar Roath. She enjoys sleeping, chasing cats, and playing with her friends Cocoa, Lady Bug, and her new brother, Holmes. She also does tricks such as sitting, lying down, shaking hands, picking up her right and left paw, rolling over, begging (seen in photo), fetching, and jumping through things. She has won ribbons at the 4-H dog show and she hopes to win more in the future.
2/2: This is Killerman. Killer was already special enough, but just before Christmas, he became lost. Two days later our angel, Stacey Lewallen, found our “man” and we were able to bring him home. He is our seven-year-old black lab and has been a La Vernia resident with his family for three months.
1/26: Abbygail is a three-year-old female Chihuahua who was abandoned. She belongs to Rev. Mark Pendergraft. She loves walking and playing with her buddy, Rusty. Rusty is a one-year-old male Chihuahua and was adopted from a loving home because his owner was unable to take care of Rusty because of illness. Rusty loves to walk and play with Abbygail and both love being with me.
1/19: This is Pinky, our poodle. She belongs to Joan and Bobby Rakowitz of La Vernia. Pinky’s favorite thing to do is bark — a lot. She is absolutely the best entertainment ever! She is a well-traveled dog and has been on a plane 3 times to 3 different states. She enjoys human food, sitting on her mamma’s lap, and going to the park. Put her in your purse and she will shop forever! We love her so much!

1/13: Here is Marshmellow. He is a Chihuahua mix. He is 2 years old and was adopted a year ago by Lee and Andrew Peterson. He loves riding in the car, walking in the water when it’s hot, and playing with his 4 dog friends.

12/29: Daylan McReynold’s wish came true! He asked Santa for a new puppy. Dixie, an 8-week-old beagle, arrived all the way from Missouri to make his Christmas extra special.
12/22: Gordon is about 3-1/2 years old and belongs to Bain Serna. Bain got him while in Mahmudiyah, Iraq when the starving kitten wandered up to Bain’s platoon. Gordon was soon adopted and with the help of Operation Baghdad Pups, Bain was able to have Gordon sent home to the U.S. Gordon currently lives with Bain’s mom on a horse ranch in rural Seguin.
12/14: This is Dylan, a Pit Bull. Dylan belongs to Emily Streetman. “Most people cringe when they hear the words “pit bull” but the most harm this dog has ever done is hit me with his tail while it’s wagging or almost licking me to death. He smiles at me everyday when I come home from work and literally crawls in my lap if it’s thundering outside. His breed may have the worst reputation in the dog world but around here he cuddles with my cat and miniature Dachshund.”
12/8: Kitty Girl is the beloved one-year-old cat of Michelle Lewis and her family. They got her from a rescue located in Adkins. She enjoys laying under the family’s Christmas tree. She also has her own stocking hung because she is waiting for Santa, too.
